Mylo the Cat is the main protagonist of The Shortest Video on YouTube series and the host of it's After Show.
He is a cat who is apparently very well-known throughout his city of New York.

Mylo is a ginger tabby cat with green eyes.
On The Shortest Video On YouTube series:[]
In the animated scenes, he wears a black shirt, yellow pants/trousers and black trainers. In the live-action scenes, he is seen as a real life ginger cat with green eyes. In the first animated scenes, he has his face from Episodes 35 and 36. Starting with Episode 86, Mylo has his iconic face from Episode 1 with an open smiling mouth (even when he talks). Starting with Episode 103, he has an edited almost closed mouth that moves when he’s talking or when he’s not talking (except for when he’s startled or is just in the moment).
On The Shortest Video n YouTube After Show:[]
For the first five episodes of the after show, he wears his same attire from the animated segments. Starting with Episode 6, he wears a black blazer (with short sleeves), a white (supposedly buttoned up) shirt, a black tie, black trousers/pants and the same black trainers. Mylo presumably said the look was temporary in Episode 6 but it became his main outfit throughout the after show.
Personality[]
Mylo’s personality has evolved throughout the years. Before the 2021 era of the series, he was mostly an egotistical cat who called himself "the coolest cat on the Internet". He also swore occasionally and talked about crude subjects. He doesn’t really have a personality in the actual series up until Episode 86. His personality is seen as being a good friend to people who treat him with respect but being a bad person to people who treat him with disrespect. He can also treat people who he’s stressed with with disrespect. (Example: Barry from parts 196-199).
Animations[]
In the animations and series, Mylo the Cat wears a black shirt and shoes. In SVOY and some previous episodes of SVOY after-show, he wears yellow pants. In the later episodes of SVOY after-show, Mylo wears a black outer shirt, white inner shirt and a black tie.
Real Life[]
In real life, Mylo is a cat who is owned by James Catusco. He was born October 8, 2006 and first appeared on YouTube in the video “Cats in Love” uploaded by Hidden Track TV on February 19 2007. It showed Mylo licking his sister Lulu.

Trivia[]
- His animated model was created in Photoshop as was every other animated character’s design.
- He lives in New York as mentioned in many of his videos.
- His animated design makes an appearance in Verbalase's Steppin' on the Beach beatbox video. This is obviously due to the fact that Adam edited the video.
- Mylo's voice has changed differently throughout the series. Originally, Adam, the creator of the series, made a sound with his voice.

Barry the Dog is the deuteragonist of the Shortest Video on YouTube series and co-host (sometimes host) of the Shortest Video on YouTube After Show. He is Mylo’s longtime best friend who helps him in his adventure to save “Papa”. He has since Episode 204 turned sour against Mylo until deciding to help him in Episode 251 then forgiving him in episode 335.

Barry, like Mylo, wore his usual attire for the after show up until Episode 6 where he wears the same outfit as Mylo. He wears a black (short-sleeved) blazer, a white (supposedly button-up) shirt, black trousers/pants and the same trainers from the series. Like Mylo, the look was presumably temporary but it became his main outfit throughout the after show.
Real Life[]
In real life, Barry is a dog owned by Dan Taft. He is revealed to have a high-pitched voice in real life. His first viewable appearance on the Mylo the Cat channel was Dramatic Dog 2009. He is voiced by Adam Schleichkorn who voices Mylo as well.

Lulu The Cat is the tritagonist of The Shortest Video On Youtube series. She is Mylo’s older sister who is currently helping him on his adventure to stop one of his ex girlfriends.

In Real Life[]
In real life, Lulu is a grey tabby cat originally owned by James Catusco, alongside Mylo. Her first video appearance was the video ‘Cats in Love’ on the Hidden Track TV channel where she is being licked by Mylo. Apparently, she and Mylo fought a lot when they were kittens.
History[]
Before SVoY[]
Lulu was born before Mylo to Mylo's Papa and a unknown Mother. On February 20th 2007 two videos staring Lulu herself and her brother, Mylo were uploaded into a new Video-sharing site, YouTube. The Videos Depicted Mylo Licking her and both cats fighting. According to a description of one of these videos both cats used to fight very often at a very young age. On July 18th 2007 Hidden Track TV uploaded a video (really 3 videos that apart from the song, description and titles had the same footage of Lulu) that was meant to be a response to Dramatic Lemur and Drama Prairie Dog (or Dramatic Chipmunk) which were old YouTube stars.

- She is the first character in the series to break the 4th wall during the story era, when she said “Since Episode 29” in Episode 175.
- Lulu went viral before Mylo ever did, in a video titled "Dramatic Kitty" released Mar 7, 2008.
- Lulu is the only LGBTQ+ character so far in the series as confirmed in Episode 261 by Mylo, reaffirmed in the aftershow, and once again brought up by Casey Chipmunk in Episode 576.

Rylo is the second antagonist of the Shortest Video on YouTube series. He is a rhino who, like the Evil Villainess and Barkley, dislikes Mylo the Cat. He was originally seen as the main antagonist of the series before being revealed as one of the Evil Villainess’ henchmen. He is voiced by Adam Schleichkorn who voices Mylo as well.

Rylo is a grey rhino. He has thick pointed eyebrows. Unlike the normal rhino, he has no ears and has a horn where his nose should be. He is always seen in animated form except for Episode 101 where he is seen as a live-action rhino. This design was only used in that episode.

On the MF DOOM video on Adam’s other channel isthishowyougoviral, he wears his same outfit from the show albeit with red/white trainers. He also is seen in one shot with a white button-up shirt with a pocket, a brown belt and white trousers. He is also seen in one shot with various plasters and wounds on his face.
Rylo as he appears in the visual from Ski’s Live from the 75
Before the Series[]
Rylo’s first ever appearance was in a live visual for Ski’s track Live from the 75. Rylo was referred to as RC Rhino back then. He made his first official appearance on the Mylo the Cat channel when he appeared in the two-part animation "You Can’t Catch Mylo" where he tries to catch Mylo while running across the city before he tries to catch Mylo flying while he rides an airplane. He was forced to land using a parachute when the airplane engine failed.

- Starting with Episode 5 of the Shortest Video on YouTube After Show is a running gag where the credits say “Nothing By: The Rhino” (which later became "Nothing By: Rylo and Barkley").
- His appearance in Episode 101 was taken from a video (supposedly Adam) recorded on a zoo trip. It was first used as part of the interactive zoo trip on the Awesome Animals channel. This live-action appearance was only used once likely due to the fact that there was very little footage of this rhino.
- His animated model was designed in Photoshop as was all of the characters’ animated models.
- He is the third character to reuse a voice clip of him from Episode 202 is reused in Episode 293. He is preceded by Garry and the Evil Villainess.
Mylo Mask is a mask, notably used by Barkley to impersonate Mylo. It is mostly used by Barkley but is soon revealed to be a novelty item that Bitty sells. On the back of this mask it says Masks by Bitty in red background.(most likely without premmision form Mylo himself)
Packaging[]
The packaging is a transparent plastic bag and says 2 Things:
- It's a Mylo's Mask
- It says that "One size Fits All!"
Use[]
Its original use was to simply look like Mylo. However, this is used in a more villainous way in the series. The Evil Villianess uses it in Phase 2 of her evil plan against Mylo:
- Have Barkley wear the mask and pretend to be Mylo;
- Have Barkley attack people with his skateboard;
- People will hate Mylo.
However, this phase ended unsuccessfully, as Barkley hit the same person thrice, whereas he is supposed to attack others only once. Everyone (other than Garrison Gator) have all noticed that Barkley was not Mylo, causing a sucessful chase.
Garrison used it as well as a disguise from Barkley, however he still got attacked by him.

Garrison Gator also known as Garry is a supporting character in The Shortest Video on YouTube. He is an alligator who has suffered through three attacks from Barkley.
He started off liking Mylo but as the attacks went on who grew a grudge against him. Barry told him that Barkley wasn’t Mylo but Garry soon forgot. He seems to be a Mylo fan once more now that he thinks it was Barkley.
He currently works at Big Al's Diner, renting the office at the back of the restaurant.

Garry is a green alligator with sharp teeth and green spikes over his head.
The Shortest Video on YouTube[]
In the series, he wears a white sweater/jumper, black belt, blue jeans and black loafers. After the first attack from Barkley, he is seen with his arm in a cast. After the second attack from Barkley, he is also seen with a broken leg cast and a crutch. After his third attack, he is seen with bandages covering his arm, leg, and the top of his head hiding his spinkes. In his last appearance, he was taking pictures of Barkley to post of what appears to be him venting on how he feels about the attacks, saying it probably wasn't Mylo and rather Barkley.
The Shortest Video on YouTube Aftershow[]
In the aftershow, he is seen in a black blazer, white shirt, black tie, black trousers/pants and the same loafers from the show. He retains his injuries but with his crutch resting against his chair.
MF DOOM[]
He wears the same white sweater/jumper from the show, albeit with ripped blue jeans and white/black trainers. He is seen in one shot with an image of Scooter from The Muppets on his sweater. In another shot, he wears a blue basketball vest over his sweater.
Trivia[]
- His animated model was created in Photoshop as were all of the other animated models.
- Scooter being on his sweater in the MF DOOM video is a reference to a previous video on Adam’s channel isthishowyougoviral which features a video where the Muppets sing Who I Am (What’s My Name) by Snoop Dogg.
- He is the first character to have a sound effect reused. The same sound effect of the crash is used for all three of Barkley’s attacks. The third attack reuses the same voice clip from Episodes 168 and 169, saying "Damn you Mylo". He would be followed by the Evil Villainess and Rylo.
- As said in Episode 22 of SVoY After Show, Garry has a crush on Rylo's Sister.
- So far, Garry is the person who's been hurt the most, with bandages covering one of his arms, leg, and the top of his head, a cast, etc.
Episode 562[]
Garry got a team called Swim Team. Swim Team were about to jump on Mylo because they thought he hit Garry 3 times. Dewey saved Mylo.
